Mohammad Ehteshamul Haque has spent 30 years translating Western strategy for Asian markets. As Director, Asia Pacific for Digital Control Inc. (USA), he led B2B operations across India, China, and Southeast Asia. His recent book, When Culture Collides With Language, grew from five years of research into the communication gaps revealed during pandemic travel restrictions.
His talk will explore five forces that shape global business writing: cultural values, reader- and writer-responsible conventions, politeness protocols, rhetorical preferences, and time conventions. Participants will leave with a working method for adapting tone, structure, and directness while keeping their own voice.
