Conference Overview
This session opened space for learning and reflection around transgender lives, community realities, and the inequalities that continue to shape LGBTQ+ experiences. Through lived stories and educational dialogue, the event invited participants to move beyond abstract debate and toward deeper understanding, empathy, and inclusion.
Rain Khoo
Founder, Dignité · Co-Founder, TransgenderSG
Rain Khoo is a DEI consultant and speaker based in Singapore who works on inclusive workplaces across Singapore and India, with deep expertise in gender and queer identities. His career has spanned design, branding, eCommerce, and management consultancy, and he is also a transgender advocate and parent.
Topic: Stories from the Transgender Community
This talk explored why transgender people continue to face inequality despite long histories of trans existence across cultures. Drawing from lived experiences in Asia, Rain highlighted the realities, challenges, and resilience of the transgender community while encouraging more informed and compassionate public understanding.
